So, yesterday marked one month until our wedding. That means we have three more weekends. It's crunch time! Here's what we have accomplished:
- Venue
- My dress
- Bridesmaid dress
- Officiant
- Caterer
- Photographer
- Flowers
- Day-Of Coordinator
- Ceremony Musicians
- Almost a DJ
- Favors
- Ordered some decorations
- Rough draft of vows
I still feel like we still have a hundred things to do - little things that could easily slip through the cracks. If you'll indulge me for a moment (yeah, like having a wedding blog isn't an indulgence by it's very nature), here are the things I can think of:
- Order decorating supplies
- Buy fabric to cover ugly lights
- Make petal cones
- Order petals
- Order candy (yum!)
- Order cookies (yum yum!)
- Stretch my shoes
- Make place cards
- Make program
- Choose ceremony music
- Finalize vows
- Figure out what random decorations we want for cake tables, etc
- Write final payment checks
- Follow up with deadbeat invitees who haven't responded yet
- Work with caterer on linens and alcohol
- Figure out make up
- Make hair appointments (!!!)
Can you believe "they" suggest making hair appointments four months out? Um...I had just gotten engaged four months out...I felt like having a place to get married, someone to marry us, and food for our guests...oh yeah, and INVITING guests...were a little more of a priority at that point. I just hope we can still get appointments. I don't know if I'll have time for the recommended "trial run"...although it terrifies me to not have it.
Everyone says to "have fun!" It IS fun...I just wish I had a little more time to enjoy it!
(BTW, if you notice that I missed anything glaring, please let me know!)
Not sure what the prices are these days or if they're already booked - but these girls were awesome, came to the house, and affordable... http://www.baltimorebridalhair.com/
ReplyDeleteThere are also a bunch of women in CCRG who are hair stylists. I don't know if any of them to bridal hair, but if you wind up in a pinch let me know, I can send out a note to the listserv and see what I can find out.
ReplyDeleteDeep breaths, it'll all be fine!
